This image is an updated version of the original St Hilda tree which is outside the Temple doors at the hall - it shows how the lodges grew from St Hilda Lodge No. 240 - the lodges bordered in red have ceased but some will also note that Palmer Lodge No. 9255 is bordered in red even though it amalgamated with Heabrym Lodge to form Hebburn Lodge No. 7201 - however in effect Palmer Lodge closed - cutting the line from the St Hilda tree - the other lodges bordered in red Gothic No. 6749, John Readhead No. 3217 and Wrekendike No. 6401 signifies that they too closed and handed in their warrants.
