South Shields Freemasons

Freemasons' Hall, is situated adjacent to Morrisons car park in the centre of South Shields.

From the South, along the A19. Take the slip road for the A194, turning right at the "Lindisfarne" roundabout, follow the A194 looking for signs marked "South Shields Town Centre." As you arrive at the traffic lights in front of the very impressive Town Hall. Turn left here and follow the road curving right, around the side of the town hall. Turn left at the next roundabout and go downhill past the first roundabout, and straight on at the second where you will pass Morrisons on your left, and arrive at the car park.

From the North, via the Tyne Tunnel. Take the first left as you exit the tunnel, follow signs for South Shields turn left at the first roundabout onto the A194. Following the signs for "South Shields Town Centre." As you arrive at the traffic lights in front of the very impressive Town Hall.

Turn left here and follow the road curving right, around the side of the town hall. Turn left at the next roundabout and go downhill past the first roundabout, and straight on at the second where you will pass Morrisons on your left, and arrive at the car park.

From the West, travelling along the Felling Bye-Pass from Gateshead, follow the A185 towards Sunderland. Take the slip road for the A194, turning left at the "Whitemare pool" roundabout. Follow the A194 and look out for signs for "South Shields Town Centre." As you arrive at the traffic lights in front of the very impressive Town Hall. Turn left here and follow the road curving right, around the side of the town hall. Turn left at the next roundabout and go downhill past the first roundabout, and straight on at the second where you will pass Morrisons on your left, and arrive at the car park.

From the East, land your boat on the beach near the fairground, walk straight along Ocean Road, passing numerous Asian restaurants. When you reach a statue of a soldier with a donkey, turn right and the hall is at the top of the hill, on your left.

Avoid street parking in the area as far as possible.
